Light me up & Turn me on
Workshop
The dérive, used as a theory background and the main method of this workshop, entails playful-constructive behavior and an awareness of psychogeographical effects, which distinguishes it from the classical notions of the journey and the stroll. It is a technique of transient passage through varied ambiances, first used by Situationist.

One of the many EASA workshops that took place in Žužemberk, Slovenia in August 2013 experimented with light by using 2km of LED optical fibers, creating interactive installations. The aim of the workshop was to create a project that consists of individual reactions to the theme, set up and frame of mind of EASA participants in Slovenia. Using existing, organic elements of nature and converting them into light installations, we tried to accentuate the positive voids and nooks, reactivating and activating through simple injections of life/light.
